Customer Reviews about Telstra Store:

I went to pick up an iPad that was supposed to be delivered to my house, but due to Telstra’s fundamental incompetence I had to go out of my way to pick up. Whilst there I also decided to get them to fix the mobile broadband that they disconnected without my permission when I got a new sim for my mobile.
I walked in the store, despite the number of staff I stood around for five minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. I finally had a surly, unpleasant barely employable excuse for a shop attendant grunt something at me. I told him my name and that I was there to pick up an iPad and get the broadband fixed. He mumbled something incoherent and went out the back.
Some minutes later he appeared and somehow had learned how to smile and treat customers with courtesy. I suspect that he had worked out that I had made a complaint, and thought he shouls try to be professional.
However it still took some 10 minutes to find the iPad, despite the fact I had rang to confirm it was available. At this point he told me that I would just have to sign up (for the third time) in order to take possession of the iPad.
I told them that their service was disgusting; which was being nice to say the least. Then suddenly a collection of staff finally appeared. At no point did they actually determine what the issue was, they were more intent on attacking me. I was told to wait and that someone would be with me. When I asked when I was told two minutes.
After waiting two minutes I noted that, two of the staff that verballed me where no were to be seen in the store. The poor excuse for an employee that was largely responsible for the situation was no were to be seen. One staff member seemed to be surfing the net, and there was a staff member wandering around looking self-important. I started to video the store. Suddenly the self-important one kept jumping into the frame, grinning and waving. Mr self-important then went and stood at the front of the store.
When finally someone did come to sign me up for the third time, I asked what the grinning, waving idiot at the front of the store was for, he told me that it was this person’s role. I was perplexed, however suddenly Mr self-important interrupted the conversation we were having. I went to great lengths to try to explain that it was rude to listen in and interrupt other people’s conversations, I told him to go away several times. He then said that it was his store. I told him that I was going to add him to the complaint that I had with Telstra and asked him his name. He told me his name was Tom, he refused to give me his last name, and he refused to give me a business card; showing that he was cowardly as well as socially inept. I understand if it is his store, because I cannot imagine that anyone would hire someone so unprofessional and socially inept, therefore he has to buy his own business to remain employed.
I have footage of Tom Cowardly Self-important that I will be releasing onto the internet. I will also be taking a list of issues to the press, and will be submitting a letter to the telecommunications ombudsman highlighting how Telstra fraudulently charge me for replacing equipment that was faulty at delivery.
